In commemoration of National Autism Awareness Month, AMC Theatres has partnered with the Autism Society and Area 23a, an event-based distribution company, to screen the feature documentary "Wretches & Jabberers" nationwide.
"Wretches & Jabberers" is a moving documentary that follows two men with autism, Tracy Thresher and Larry Bissonnette, on their trip around the world to change perceptions and attitudes about "disability, intelligence and communication." The film was co-produced by the Syracuse University School of Education Dean Douglas Biklen and Academy Award-winning director Gerardine Wurzburg.
To start the nationwide run, AMC will premiere the film on April 1 at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square in New York City. The following day, April 2, which is World Autism Awareness Day, "Wretches & Jabberers" will open across the nation as part of a 40-city tour, including Washington, D.C. Residents in D.C., Maryland and Virginia will be able to view the film at these convenient locations:
